If so, get it from the drawing author. Are you sure it's a font file and not a shape file? Even if someone has a file called "DFT.SHX", it's unlikely that it would be the exact same file used by the drawing author. Jon: Are you certain this is a font? Could be a simple shape file which also carries an SHX extension. How DFT is used could be a clue..... Re: DFT.SHX When I attempt to open an AutoCAD DWG from a Chinese company I get a 'Specify Font for Style STANDARD' message with 'Font not found:hztxt' & then 'Specify Font for Style DFT' with 'Font not found:dft'. I have located 'hztxt.shx' on the internet and when added to ACAD the first message goes away. I cannot find a copy of 'dft.shx' and have requested the Chinese company to send it. 使用ＣＡＤはCADPAC-CREATOR 2D Ver8 海外のAUTO CADで書いた図面をDXFに変換して送ってもらい、それをFDBに変換して開くと １０％ぐらい文字化けします。 そこで海外の設計者に問い合わせると使用しているフォントを送ってきましたが、インス トールする事が出來ません。インストールする方法を教えて下さい。 ＊送られてきたフォントはCaed.shx , Dft.shx , gdt.shx , Hzlib.shx , ltypeshp.shx , Stsl.shx の６ヶです。
